The company is searching for a Mechanic to join its team for various manufacturing needs.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants may be required to have a High School Diploma

Work Experience

  • The candidates should have 5 years of experience as a Welder/Mechanic
  • Experience working with boilers is a plus

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Capable of reading blueprints and translating the print to the actual build.
  • Demonstrates basic abilities to fabricate a designed system (excluding piping) to include following the print, cutting the steel, and fabricating as required.
  • Demonstrates basic skills and ability to stick and TIG weld on carbon steel piping and flat stock. Able to weld in vertical and horizontal positions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to safely operate a cutting torch.
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize pipe threader, table grinder, and chop saw.
  • Demonstrates work practices in compliance with all Powerhouse safety programs. Complies with PPE requirements. Able to work free of any safety-related progressive discipline.
  • Hand Tools and Portable Power Tools – Proficient working knowledge, skills, and abilities required to properly identify and safely and effectively use and maintain hand tools and portable power tools on a routine basis while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Mechanical Fasteners – Proficient working knowledge, skills, and abilities required to properly identify and safely and effectively maintain and install various types of threaded fasteners and retaining rings. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to identify ASTM and SAE fastener grade markings, thread standards, torque requirements, and washer requirements for the specific task at hand.
  • Mobile equipment certified. Able to safely and effectively operate a forklift, man basket, and lull.
  • Pipe Fitting Skills -Proficient working knowledge to safely and effectively maintain and install piping, tubing, and hose-type fluid and air transfer systems. Ability to design and properly execute piping system installs.
  • Proficient in MIG welding carbon steel. Able to weld in vertical and horizontal positions.

  • Certified to weld carbon steel in both stick and TIG

  • Certified to weld stainless in both stick and TIG welding processes
  • Mechanical fasteners – proficient working knowledge
  • Pipe fitting skills
