Job Profile

The company is hiring a Rental Equipment Technician who will primarily provide a variety of services which includes daily inspection, testing, and minor servicing of industrial equipment, including (but not limited to) roll-off boxes, frac tanks, and berms.

Ensures all tasks are completed in a safe, effective, and proficient manner and that equipment is maintained according to company, regulatory, and manufacturer standards.

Educational Qualification

  • No education level is mentioned, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • Prior experience in mechanical, environmental, or industrial shop environments
  • Experience operating pressure washing units (up to 3,500 psi)
  • Experience with welding equipment (certification not required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully pass company forklift training.
  • Confined space entry training, at an awareness level.
  • Current respirator fit-tested.
  • General operational knowledge of industrial storage equipment, including (but not limited to) roll-off boxes, frac tanks, and berms.
  • Working knowledge on appropriate use and application of personal protective equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Completes all documentation, registrations, and data entry associated with inspection and repair in a timely and accurate manner, and ensures all documentation is being accurately captured and maintained.
  • Contributes to team goals and customer demands through effective communication and prioritization of a self-organized workload.
  • Enters into confined spaces and complies with all CSE processes and procedures.
  • Maintains equipment per the Company’s and manufacturer’s requirements, as well as within DOT regulations, prior to outward delivery to customers.
  • Maintains work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Occasionally deals with external customers and vendors and maintains professionalism throughout these interactions.
  • Operates forklifts and yard mules to mobilize equipment around the facility.
  • Performs atmospheric testing (using an air quality monitor) of equipment interiors to ensure safe working conditions, utilizing supplied breathing air if required.
  • Performs minor equipment repairs (including some welding) where necessary.
  • Troubleshoots and eliminates problems relating to equipment as and when they arise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • A positive attitude.
  • Ability to access all local refineries and petrochemical plants.
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend documents such as (but not limited to) operational, technical, process, safety, and quality instructions.
  • Basic Plus certification or willingness to undergo and successfully pass the Basic Plus examination.
  • Basic proficiency in working with most common Microsoft Office applications.
  • Current, valid TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
  • Has confidence to inform colleagues of unsafe working practices or conditions.
  • Understands the dangers of working with or around hazardous chemicals and is able to read and understand safety data sheets to take the necessary steps required to mitigate those dangers.
  • Willingness to provide input on working practices to ensure departmental goals are met and exceeded.
