The company (NOV Wellbore Technologies) is looking for a Rope Access Technician to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have an IRATA Rope Access Level 3

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field
• Minimum 3 years supervising derrick building projects and preferably been involved with newbuilds

Duties/Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point on site for the company, liaising with project management in the office to ensure the scope is carried out safely and to plan.
• An experienced rope access technician to oversee rope access projects, both in Singapore and abroad.
• Carries out site surveys when required.
• Help with groundwork at sites around Singapore when required.
• Maintain good communication with clients and the office to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently.
• Responsible for maintaining discipline and cooperation with the workforce under their supervision.
• Responsible for maintaining the daily reporting, day-to-day forms, and permits as may be required for the project at hand.
• Responsible for the well-being and safe operating practices of personnel working under their supervision.
• Responsible for training other on-site technicians.
• Scope of work may be adjusted at any time if operations or admin duties are required.
• These projects will range in scope and will involve, but are not limited to, inspection work, structural modification (welding) work, or derrick building i.e. removal and installation of top drives, crown blocks, etc.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to conduct site surveys, take measurements and provide drawing markups where required.
• Ability to read and understand Technical Drawings.
• Leading rope access teams in complex projects, primarily in the derrick building.
