Job Profile
The company is searching for a Shop Supervisor who will supervise a team while managing the daily production operations while holding them accountable for all company policies and standards, including safety.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have passed a High School or Higher one
Work Experience
- The candidates should have previous supervisory/management experience (5 years minimum)
- Experience in one or all of the following is preferred like welding, metal fabrication, and machining.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in the training of new hire employees and ongoing education for the team.
- Coordinate with management and/or employees from other departments in the manufacturing/fabrication/assembly process.
- Expedite shop orders through the department.
- Help team to maintain machines and work area in a clean and safe manner.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department and its employees; including all performance management, time-keeping, and safety procedures.
- Training Schedule – approximately 1 Month on 1st Shift
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to multi-task on a consistent basis throughout the shift
- Ability to work with others and be a team player
- Able to read blueprints
- Average math skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete logs, documents, and reports in English
- Consistent shop floor presence (2/3 of shift)
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills; able to converse professionally with shop and office employees, supervisors, managers, and executives
- Proficient with MS Office
- Proficient with performance management, including plans of action and evaluations
- Strong focus on Safety
Licenses/Certifications
- 1st Aid/CPR/AED
- CNC Machinist Cert
- Powered Fork Truck
