Job Profile

The company is recruiting a CNC Programmer who will be responsible for programming complicated engineering using Master-CAM for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• Possess 5+ years of Master-CAM programming experience
• 7+ years of experience as a machinist
• Experience programming 3,4 and 5-axis mills

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of programming procedures and manufacturing practices.
• Assist with equipment operation, maintenance, and cutters/tooling procurement.
• Assist with physical dimension verification using machine tools and support inspection of parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Be highly visible to associates and promote hands-on, high-involvement approaches to problem-solving.
• Create CNC Program using MasterCam X9 (or above) and Fusion 360.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives and process changes
• Modify CNC programs based on data from quality or other sources
• Performs first article machine set-ups
• Performs operator maintenance and operational checks on all departmental tools and equipment.
• Support internal customers/departments and deliver an estimate of completion and tooling requirements for all projects.
• Trains other employees in basic and complex machine operator techniques
• Transitions projects to machine operators and trains for the highest efficiency and output
• Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to interpret, and document QC standards as part of the operation
• Ability to produce parts within tight tolerances
• Ability to quickly react to non-conforming operations as they occur
• Ability to read, and interpret technical drawings and standards
• Advanced measurement skills
• Former or active secret security clearance (a plus)
• Knowledge of tooling capabilities
• Must have strong English communication skills
