Job Profile

The company is seeking a Fabricator/Welder who will be responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture the product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Operates fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, and presses

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
• Associates in a related subject (preferred)

Work Experience

• Possess 5 or more years of machine shop experience (ideally with the racing industry)
• Demonstrated experience in welding cast and solid aluminum and stainless-steel nuts and bolts

Duties/Responsibilities

• Finish grinding, deburring, and final preparation using manual and power tools
• Interpretation of engineering needs, propose solutions, and implement the design by manufacturing above
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology
• Manufacture small parts and one-offs using manual machines
• Manufacture, Welding, and Fabrication of parts, tools, fixtures, and equipment, often to an Aerospace standard.
• Propose and design welded and fabricated solutions for the business needs as required
• Set up and operation of CNC lathe and 3-axis machines
• Welding and fabrication equipment maintenance

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Extensive Knowledge of fixturing and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, wire, filler, etc.)
• Proficient in assigned welding techniques, ideally to an Aerospace standard
