Job Profile

The company is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer (Welding) who will be accountable for-

To provide technical support and guidance.

To update and create manufacturing and quality engineering documents and procedures.

Coordinate and conduct manufacturing tests on machines or processes to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives.

To serve as coordinator for assigned projects.

To assist in the installation of equipment and to improve workstations.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a college/university

Work Experience

  • Possess 2 to 4 years of minimum experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Fanuc robotics experience (a strong plus)
  • Welding experience (a strong plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Corporate policies and procedures
  • Design and develop welding and coating processes and tools for new and existing products
  • Develop and maintain good relations with other team members
  • Develop and maintain process documentation – control plans, PFMEA, Picture Process Sheets, Tooling Sheets, etc.
  • Develop and maintain work instruction documentation
  • Evaluate tooling, special test, and inspections concepts, and equipment
  • Lead manufacturing technical support, coordinate cost reduction activities and support corrective action activities
  • Manage engineering changes as they occur.
  • Responsible for manufacturing and process engineering activities associated with welding and automation.
  • Review, analyze, design, and implement revisions to improve existing processes for increased efficiency (throughput, tool life, etc.)
  • Supplier and customer liaison for engineering-related items
  • Support equipment and tooling activities associated with welding, coating, and automation processes.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • A good understanding of Fanuc Robotics and Allen Bradley PLCs and how they interface with equipment is a strong plus
  • A hands-on approach is essential, with ownership of products and processes
  • Flexible work schedule required
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient with any 3D modeling and drafting software
  • Proficient with GD&T, Process Diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-motivated striving to find lean solutions to improvements and issues
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly
