Job Profile

The company is seeking an Oiler who will function as-

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on buildings and equipment to ensure continuous operation. Lubricating, checking bearings, and calibration of machines.
• Perform a new installation of equipment and building construction.

Educational Qualification

• A High School Diploma will be a plus
• Certified fork truck operator
• Certified Welder

Work Experience

• Possess mechanical maintenance experience
• Electrical maintenance experience

Duties/Responsibilities

Safety Procedures-

• Read and understand Safety Rules and Housekeeping Guidelines and receive training in proper operating procedures.
• Receive instructions in the following-
  -All nip points
  -All stop buttons
  -Conveyor safety
  -Emergency response team
  -Fall hazards – working overhead
  -Hearing protection
  -Hot work – welding/brazing
  -Lifting and pushing/pulling
  -Lockout procedures – authorized
  -Maintenance shop safety
  -Moving machinery and start-up notification
  -Operation of fork/clamp truck
  -Personal protective equipment
  -Safety shoes
  -Vessel entry

Housekeeping-

• Dump trash as needed
• Follow the cleaning schedule listed in Safety Manual
• Perform daily clean-up of the area
• Perform extra clan up during downtime

Duties-

• Know and follow the proper lock-out procedure
• Ability to perform the following PM-
  -Grease and oil equipment
  -Hydraulic and pneumatic system
  -All systems on Fork/Clamp trucks
  -Monitor lubricants for effectiveness

• Operate and maintain the following equipment-
  -Boiler Fireman’s license
  -Plant air system
  -Plane steam system
  -Plant fire system
  -Wastewater treatment system

• Know how to set up and run mfg. Equipment including setting tolerances and replacing/paralleling rolls
• Repair/replace components on the following fork/clamp truck system-
  -LP system
  -Hydraulic system
  -Engine and transmission
  -Electrical system
  -Brake system
  -Drive/steering system

• Mechanical – use drawings/prints to repair, rebuild and troubleshoot
  -All plant equipment and systems
  -Gear trains
  -Bearing, seals, and sprockets
  -Disconnects and pneumatic systems
  -Pumps
  -Couplings, speed reducers, and worm gears
  -Best sheaves and pulleys

• Welding – able to do the following
  -Demonstrate and follow safe welding, brazing, and cutting practices
  -Prepare joints for welding
  -Lay out the welding project
  –Weld vertically and horizontally

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read, write and do basic math
