Job Profile

The company is looking for a Project Engineer to join its team that drives turning concepts and ideas into reality.

This role will work on creating a design for the concept and work with the fabricators in the group to produce a prototype.

The Project Engineer will exemplify collaboration, communication, and curiosity to rapidly create these customer-focused, innovative solutions.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Automation, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical experience (preferred) from a university or college.

Work Experience

• The candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience, and internships will be considered.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Challenge Status Quo by identifying, creating, and developing ideas for new technology while aligning to the overall business strategy.
• Collaborate with Global Product Marketing Management, Regional Application Teams, Regional Service Support Specialists, Site Service Team Leads, along with Regional Sales and Service BLM teams to influence product roadmaps.
• Must be able to drive other stakeholders to fully contribute and own and complete their responsibilities; owns clearly defining and communicating what the stakeholders must deliver.
• Rapidly responding to customer requests with proposals for collaborative projects that will solve their problems and lead to long-term strategic partnerships for emissions reductions.
• Will identify best-known practices and procedures to outline how projects tie together with Edwards strategy and key account team management.
• Will own driving collaboration internally and with customers; always aware of what activity is happening.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Basic knowledge of Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics is desirable but not required.
• Basic machining and welding experience are desirable but not required. Willingness to learn is preferred.
• Experience in 3D modeling CAD systems; Autodesk Inventor and/or CATIA V6 will be an added advantage.
• Experience in PLM/PDM system; Autodesk Vault and/or 3DX will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions to exceptional problems outside the box are required.
• Hands-on experience in designing and building various types of tools including robotic lifting tools, assembly tools, special-purpose tools, measuring tools, is desirable.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is desirable.
• Material selection capabilities including the understanding of global engineering standards (e.g. ISO, DIN, etc.) would be an advantage.
