Job Profile

The company is hiring a Vessel Welder IV who will join, fabricate and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.

Welds together pipe fittings and metal components as specified by isometrics, JQR, or verbal instructions.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to present and execute innovative ideas presented to the management team.
  • Be capable of performing all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Consistently demonstrates competence in the SAW process.
  • Consistently maintains below-average reject rate.
  • EE will align with EFX’s visions and values.
  • EE will be a willing participant in our mentorship program.
  • Inspects complete welds to determine structural soundness.
  • Proven ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proven record of observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
  • Reads and understands P&ID drawings and other package layout drawings to determine the appropriate welding process.
  • Sets up equipment and spools, using arc, gas-shielded arc, or arc gas welding equipment.
  • Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using the appropriate welding procedure for the various equipment and metal types involved.
  • Outstanding attendance record
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • Must be able to read and interpret all engineering drawings in order to efficiently perform work.
  • Must have knowledge of fabricating pipe spools and fabricating vessels.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME codes.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Working Conditions

  • Industrial environment.
  • Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
  • May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Required a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking on a constant basis.
