Educational Qualification

• Applicants may be required a High School Diploma
• Welding Certification (required)
• Must be 18 years of age

Work Experience

• Possess some work-related experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications
• Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment and notify the supervisor if any equipment needs repairs
• Operates machinery, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job’s needs
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, drawings, or work orders
• Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified in drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
• Willing and able to work on heavy equipment
• Perform welding duties using a wire/gas welder
• Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other jobs as needed

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Work Environment

• Works outdoors in all climates
• Exposed to loud noise, dusty environment
• Able to climb and work 80 feet or higher, and to stoop, bend or kneel in the review and inspection of plant operations and equipment.
• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Full mobility of hands
• Required to wear safety equipment including a hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, leather work shoes, hearing protectors, respirator, gloves, and other safety equipment that may be required for the project.
